Last year - CWOA

The annual CWOA lunch took place on Saturday 11th November.  Click here for a review of the event.

A very successful Organ concert was held in Ss Peter & John Church Rugby on Saturday 5th August with the participation of six CWOA organists - this included our President Adrian Moore.

In this concert we were pleased to welcome three young Organists who took part in the 2022 'Organs for Pianists' event in Rugby School. There was good attendance and this included a number of local members. The Organ is derived from a 2m 1889 Bevington with the addition of the 6 rank Choir Organ Chest from the Demolished Holy Trinity Church Rugby which was an 1898 Forster and Andrews.

Afterwards there were a number of positive comments from audience members and our Librarian Gillian brought a number of CWOA organ scores which interested the younger members.

There was a Pipe display and five people came up into the Organ Chamber and had a demonstration of the EP Action, Direct Electric action with Choir Pulldown Solenoids and Slide driver action. On Switch off they witnessed the 8 second wind reservoir collapse.

We hope to repeat this event next year and are hopeful of more 'Young Organists' taking part.

The recitalists and music they played is listed here.  Click here to listen to the concert.
